About Me

My photo
Hi. I live in Canberra, Australia, and started tatting early in 2009. Consequently, I've now caught the 'tatting bug' and hope to be infected for a long while.

Something blue

Aren't there some beautiful patterns around!!

This particular pretty pattern is called Maids of Honour and is from Mary Konior's book Tatting with Visual Patterns. It has been tatted in variegated blue DMC size 80.

I made it for a friend as a wedding handerchief - she now has 'something blue' :)

  5. To echo the comments above, this is stunning! First there's the size 80 thread, which I don't think I've ever seen in the blue variegated. Then there's the perfection of the tatting - and that particular pattern, one of my favorites. You'e also done the corners perfectly, and attached it perfectly. I am so impressed that you learned to tat just two years ago!
