Aren't there some beautiful patterns around!!
This particular pretty pattern is called Maids of Honour and is from Mary Konior's book Tatting with Visual Patterns. It has been tatted in variegated blue DMC size 80.
I made it for a friend as a wedding handerchief - she now has 'something blue' :)

Absolutely gorgeous! Your tatting seems to echo the embroidered motif. Excellent!

So delicate! So beautiful! What a lucky friend to receive this stunning piece of lace as a bridal heirloom.
ReplyDeleteTo echo the comments above, this is stunning! First there's the size 80 thread, which I don't think I've ever seen in the blue variegated. Then there's the perfection of the tatting - and that particular pattern, one of my favorites. You'e also done the corners perfectly, and attached it perfectly. I am so impressed that you learned to tat just two years ago!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm impressed. I have justs finished tatting this pattern but in coats mercer crochet no. 30. Yours is so much finer. I also still need to attach mine to a hanky. Lucky friend.
ReplyDeleteHi I love what you are doing and I liked the daffodils that you did from the Tatting down the Garden Path book. I would love a copy of this book. Do you know were I can buy a copy.
