About Me

My photo
Hi. I live in Canberra, Australia, and started tatting early in 2009. Consequently, I've now caught the 'tatting bug' and hope to be infected for a long while.

Celtic flutterby

Can there be enough flutterbies in the world?

Rozella Linden is doing her best to bring beauty into the world by creating gorgeous designs like Fred Flutterby.

He has flown out of the Celtic Tatting:Knots and Patterns book and is tatted in Altin Basak 50.

  3. No, never too many. I recently tatted a bracelet and some bookmarks with her Celtic Knot Shamrock. It was so much fun. I think I need to buy this book. You did a great job.

  5. Your butterfly looks lovely. I have all of Rozella Linden books and got to take a class with her a couple of years ago. But have not been able to make anything. Maybe it is time to try again!?!

  6. A bevy is not to many, of beautiful butterflies! (For some reason that sounds like it could have been a turn-of-the-century jingle or lyric...) Yours is bee-yoo-ti-ful!

  9. Love this butterfly - just adorable, and very well done! You chose great colors, too. They blend perfectly together.

I knew the butterfly looked 'familiar', and when I saw it was from Rozella's book, I remembered that I have that book and had put it aside for a time when I could 'concentrate' on it, as Rosella challenges us to think about tatting in new ways.

Rozella's designs are unique, and she is among the pioneers of this kind of Celtic weaving.

Thanks for 'reminding' me that I have the book - which I noticed is still at the Hobby Lobby store in our area. I really want to try this cute butterfly now!
