About Me

My photo
Hi. I live in Canberra, Australia, and started tatting early in 2009. Consequently, I've now caught the 'tatting bug' and hope to be infected for a long while.

Motif 12

This clover leaf is a celtic not that I think may have originated from Ruth Perry. It was a fun design made from Coates Mercer cotton size 20.

It's surprising how a simple chain can be made into a picture just by twisting and twirling it a bit.

  1. Very nice! This is really something to be proud of because it's the actual "Celtic Tatting". Many motifs out there are claiming to be "Celtic Tatting" when they are actually a "Pseudo Celtic Tatting" or rather more a "Celtic STYLE Tatting"....where they make several pieces and then tat them altogether. You've done the real thing here, my dear! Good job!

  2. Well done, Vanessa!

You're right, the pattern is Ruth's Celtic Shamrock from the (old) Tatting Pattern Calendar.
